Rendall and Rittner purchase Braemar Estates

Leading managing agent Rendall & Rittner has completed its purchase of Braemar Estates, taking over the management of its portfolio of around 5,000 properties. This brings the number of units that Rendall & Rittner has under management to in excess of 50,000, continuing to strengthen its business across the UK.

The purchase of Braemar Estates from Brooks Macdonald Group allows Rendall & Rittner to increase its presence in the North West, where Braemar Estates is headquartered. Braemar’s staff will continue to operate from Hale and from Central Manchester offices, where it will be business as usual. The two companies will continue to operate under their brand names, with Braemar Estates about to unveil its updated corporate branding.

Rendall & Rittner is an experienced operator in the residential block management sector, with four area offices in London, as well as regional offices in Manchester and the Midlands. By acquiring Braemar Estates’ diverse portfolio of residential and mixed-use management contracts across Manchester, Liverpool, Leeds, Birmingham, Bristol and London, Rendall & Rittner will continue the trend of vigorous corporate growth it has experienced in recent years.

Duncan Rendall, CEO of Rendall & Rittner, commented: "We are excited to have this opportunity to grow the scope of our business and benefit from Braemar’s expertise and strong reputation, particularly in the north-west region. Our two businesses share the same values and commitment to quality so we are hopeful for a smooth transition over the coming months. This move is a significant step in progressing our ambition to be a truly national company at the forefront of our industry.

“For now, our priority is continuing to ensure that we deliver the highest standards of service to our clients and residents through both the Rendall & Rittner and Braemar Estates brands."

The management of Braemar Estates will remain as it is for the foreseeable future and a review of operations will take place during 2018. Braemar’s existing board will remain the same except for two exiting directors, who will be replaced with two R&R board members.

Lyn Windeler, Property Management Director at Braemar Estates said: “The backing of Rendall & Rittner puts us in the best possible position for the sustained success of the business and we are looking forward to working with our new colleagues towards our shared goals. This also allows us to strengthen our presence in London, supported by Rendall & Rittner’s extensive expertise in the capital. For the leaseholders and residents of our developments, it is very much business as usual and the same high standards of service that they expect will not change.”
